My grandmother was a great cook, her favorite
dish was turkey pepián. The whole family liked their preparation.
My father took us every Sunday to visit her and
be able to enjoy the delicacies she prepared. If you had been there, you would
know how good it cooked. To accompany the stews, it was accompanied with a
ceviche of fresh, dry or salted fish.
My aunts were in charge of washing and skinning
the fish, and then frying them or slicing them for the chilcanos. My aunts
weren't good cooks. I wonder why they didn't like cooking?
